Privacy Policy

Momo Finances Tracker is a personal finance app designed around privacy. Your financial data stays on your device — we do not operate servers that store or process your transactions, balances, or notes. To improve the app and to detect crashes, we use a small amount of anonymous usage analytics through Google Firebase, described in detail below.

Information We Collect

On your device (your financial data)

Momo Finances Tracker stores all your financial data locally on your device. This includes transactions, budgets, accounts, categories, labels, recurring payments, goals, and any notes you enter.

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this data on external servers. We have no access to your financial information.

Anonymous analytics & crash reports (Google Firebase)

To understand how the app is used and to fix bugs, we collect anonymous, aggregate information through Google Firebase Analytics and Google Firebase Crashlytics. This includes:

• Which screens are opened and how often (e.g. how many people use the Trends screen)
• How often the app is launched and how long sessions last
• Crash diagnostics — stack traces, the device model, the OS version, and the app version — when the app unexpectedly closes
• An anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (a Firebase "instance ID") and approximate region (country-level, derived from IP address)

This data does not include any of your financial information, your transactions, the names of your categories or accounts, your budgets, your goals, or any text you have entered into the app. It is aggregated and anonymous, and used solely to understand which features people find useful and to fix bugs faster.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region requiring consent, the app will ask before enabling analytics, and you can disable analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy.

Subscription verification (RevenueCat)

Our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, may collect limited technical identifiers such as anonymous user IDs, device type, and operating system version solely for the purpose of managing subscriptions. See the Third-Party Services section below for details.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier
• Precise location data
• Financial account credentials, bank logins, or card numbers
• The contents of your transactions, budgets, accounts, categories, goals, or notes
• Contact lists or photos (unless you attach a receipt — and even then, the image stays on your device)

In-App Purchases

Momo Finances Tracker Plus subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Subscription status and entitlements are managed via RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform. RevenueCat may process anonymous user IDs, purchase history, and basic device information (device type, OS version) to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your financial data or any information you enter into Momo Finances Tracker.

Subscription management (renewal, cancellation) is handled through your device's app store settings. Please refer to Apple's, Google's, and RevenueCat's privacy policies for details on how they handle your data.

Notifications

Momo Finances Tracker uses local notifications to remind you of upcoming bills and budget thresholds. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification tokens or push service data are sent to external servers.

Data Export and Import

When you export data (CSV or PDF), the files are created locally on your device. You choose where to save or share them. We have no access to exported files.

Third-Party Services

Momo Finances Tracker does not integrate with advertising networks or marketing trackers. The following third-party services are used, each for a specific, limited purpose:

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — for processing payments and managing app distribution. See Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — for subscription management and entitlement verification. RevenueCat processes anonymous user IDs, purchase receipts, and basic device information. It does not have access to your financial data or any content you enter into Momo Finances Tracker. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — for anonymous, aggregate usage analytics (which screens are opened, how often the app is launched) and crash reporting. Firebase processes an anonymous Firebase instance ID, screen-view events, app-launch events, crash diagnostics, device model, OS version, and approximate (country-level) region. Firebase does not receive any of your financial data, transactions, balances, category names, or notes. See Firebase's privacy and security information and Google's Privacy Policy.

No personal financial data from Momo Finances Tracker is shared with any third party.

Data Retention

Your financial data is stored locally on your device and is retained for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling Momo Finances Tracker permanently deletes all locally stored data.

RevenueCat retains subscription-related data (anonymous user IDs, purchase history) in accordance with their own data retention policy. For details, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings (typically up to 14 months for analytics events and 90 days for crash reports). For details, see Firebase's privacy and security information.

Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Your financial data lives on your device, so you have full control over it at all times. You can:

• View all your data directly in the app
• Export your data via CSV at any time
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app or using the app's reset function
• Disable anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting at any time in Settings → Privacy

For the limited anonymous data processed by Firebase and RevenueCat, you have the rights provided by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection). Because the identifiers used are anonymous, we may need additional information from you to identify the relevant records. To exercise these rights or ask any question, please contact us.

Children's Privacy

Momo Finances Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app and on our website, with the updated date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of Momo Finances Tracker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
